Hi,
I just realized that Pocket earth only chooses one route, even if there might be different options. It would be great to include the option to elect between the different alternatives.PocketEarth relies on a 3rd party online routing service which unfortunately does not give us other routing options that we can present in our app. Our next update however will add a Shortest Driving route mode which can be helpful for getting a second alternate route, which is often a good « scenic » option.
Note however, that you can customize the route offered by pressing anywhere on the route line until a « control point pin » appears, and then drag it to a road you would like to pass through and the route will be recalculated using it. You can make as many of these as you like in order to control the routing.
