Settings > Map Layers allow you to disable a number of things, as well as enable a few extra layers, but it doesn’t include Peaks and Islands in the current version.
Our next major update will allow you to turn off any of the ~140 types of POI icons on the map!There is no icon for islands, did you mean some other kind of icon or the island landmass area itself?
