Rotate map user selectable

The new rotate map feature sometimes is nice and sometimes it is not. In the latter case the map rotates often unintentionally.
Is it an idea to have a toggleswitch to enable or disable this function ( my wife would love it).

You can find the switch under Settings > GPS & Compass > Map Rotation Gesture.

Can someone explain how this works, as in what is the gesture?

Rotate the map: holding two fingers on the screen and make the rotate gesture.

Thanks for the explanation. I wondered how that worked and it is another really useful PE facility.
