I recently planned a route with google maps for my cycle trip in Turkey and downloaded the KML file. Than I used http://www.gpsvisualizer.com to convert it to GPX. With GPS Visualizer there is an option to add DEM elevation data to a track. A colour coded track can than be generated using the “Draw a map” option, and also an elevation profile can be generated.
It would be awesome to have an elevation color coded track in PE. A profile graph would be a big bonus too.
