Hi: The routing default is walking. I propose changing the name to “hiking” or adding a new pathfinder called “walking (shortest route)”. The reason is because when doing a route to a favourite, it uses the mechanism set in “New Route”. I was experimenting and had it route me to the post office when it decided on a rather long trail. Turns out walking favours actual trails so it took the really long way around and it wasn’t immediately obvious until I started experimenting, so this is a user interface issue as well. The correct setting is any of the other 3 normally.
If a route pattern is found for walking “shortest distance” then it should also allow going against one way streets as sidewalks tend to exist and an even shorter path can be found by walking on one way streets.
