Question about saving a calculated route

When I am at home I can make a route and let PocketEarth calculate for turn-by-turn instructions; nice. When I am on the road without Wifi or Movile coverage, it happened more than once I ‚lost‘ the route because I probably touched something or hide the route an reveal afterwards. I read the manual and there is written I can save the route. In my case however, I can’t find a save button. I understand when altering the route, a connections is neccesary but how can I save a calculated route so it is always possible to retrieve it without Wifi of Mobile?
