Edit route directions

I am generating a route through Germany with stops planned at various service stations. I have the route, but I notiiced that it deviates from the autobahn near a junction for some unknown reason. I have tried altering the route at this point via yellow control points but can I edit the directions, rather than the route so that I can remove what appears to be a strange minor detour?
