How to disable hints?

Inadvertently I tapped “reset hints” in the settings menu. But I didn’t want them to (re)appear. How can they be disabled?

I believe you just need to click/tap them. And when you’ve read all the hints, they’ll just go away and never to appear again unless you reset them again.
