Thats a yes from me too!
Hmm ……. I thought this might have garnered a bit more supportf rom the two wheel community ….. come on Johan!
I use an external BT GPS/tracklogger so this option is relevant for me and perhaps others
I receive many Garmin gpx route files from members of our motorcycling group, so the ability to convert these into PE routes would be a major plus
Surely there must be a program, app or website that can sequentially strip out all waypoints, via points and map points from a file and then submit them for conversion by the routing engine into a route?
I’m not familiar with the Wikivoyage feature but what happens if you tap the top level result a second time?
Yes, same for me – I assume it is a limitation of the webmap and one must guesstimate where the centre of the screen, and hence one’s position, is
Q1 Menu (three bars on left side)/Browse/My Groups/Green “+” to greate new city group name
Q2 Menu/Browse/Favourites/ Swipe appropriate favourite from right to left
That is how I do it
Thanks for that tip re iFunBox – very interesting and useful
I use iMazing (and it’s sister app FileApp) and with it have now been able to locate and copy the UDB folder to my desktop
Q.1 My UDB file has a “2” appended – what is that about?
Q.2 You suggest that having reinstalled PE you then double tap to close the app before copying the UDB folder back to PE – why is that?
Q.3 Why would the method you describe be used in preference to exporting the data as a Pocket Earth Archive to a mail program and then reimporting it when/if required?I suspect the OP has been able to import the .gpx file but now wishes to convert it from a track to a route – or maybe I misread him?

Sorry to hear that your TPE data has disappeared but it is still up and running in Auckland NZ
What An excellent and practical facility it is too for both residents and visitors – wish we had it in our town here in thenorthwest of England

Yes, I’m having the exact same issue – opening the support then forum tab takes a whole cup of tea!
Inputting that address shows the destination set back from Route des Acacias. I suspect that the routing engine is not seeing the access from Rue Caroline as a public way. It is however happy to dump you outside on the main drag if you use the “map centre” facility to designate the destination. Using this method you can in fact nip round the back and “Bob’s your uncle”!
I’m having a similar issue with using the internal roads in the port area in Santander. If one day we get our own “onboard” routing engine perhaps such problems will disappear

I understand one of the issues with importing .gpx files is that Garmin add a great deal of extra date to theirs. If we had a routine in PE that could strip out that data life would be a bed of roses – for some of us at least!
Just delete it from your iPhone/iPad then from the App Store select “purchased” on the bottom line and you will see Pocket Earth Pro. Touch the cloud symbol with the blue arrow – you don’t have to buy it again
Have you tried deleting then reinstalling the app?
I do quite a lot of offroad motorcycling in remote area. Being able to seed PE with a series of pins (from Google Earth etc) would be a great facility
