Great news. I’ll be checking the App Store around this time next week. Thanks for your efforts. Anton.

Please don’t get rid of the scale. It is a reference to the detail one can expect. I.e. Airport and other symbols don’t show on maps after about 10Km.

Yes, I’ve latched onto the idea of sub grouping in this way, but I use the 2 letter international code (look it up in Wikipedia).
    EG.

    AU Airport
    AU Marina
    AU POI

    EG Airport
    EG Marina
    EG POI

    FR Airport
    FR Marina
    FR POI

    US Airport
    US Marina
    US POI

    etc. ad infinitum

Abe, can you give us an idea when you will be providing a new ver. with fixes for the crashing bugs?

    10. Today I tried recording a new track. At the end when I pressed stop, PE froze. The good new is that after restarting, the new track was saved.

On the positive side. I’m really enjoying using v. 1.5 aside from the bugs. Keep up the good work.

    Cheers Anton.

Re 3. Must admit this only seemed to happen at the very beginning and does not happen now. Maybe memory was low and was solved after re-booting (which I did to see if that solved other issues).
Great to hear about the hot fix.

I have a suggestion for elaborating on the way Groups are used and maybe it would not be too hard to code. After turning off all user pins, allow turning on just selected groups. Think of how useful this would be.

    Cheers Anton.

I have been using PE 1.5 extensively and aside from the afore mentioned bugs, I love using Groups and how you have implemented them. Top stuff.

    4. Export to Evernote and Dropbox does not work for me. Just returns to the map view, nothing done. Emailing to Evernote did work.
    5. If you are imputing a note to an existing POI and you press Map before Done, PE crashes.
    6. If you try creating a route ‘From Here’ from within a Pin, PE freezes. Still able to exit so phone not frozen.

I agree with Evernote support in the future. Everything I do now goes in/out of my Evernote account. It took me a while before I realised its amazing potential. Just do an App Store search on Evernote to get an idea of the awesome third party support for Evernote, either by direct add-on apps or by symbiotic support by major app developers.

Great News Abe and top marks for the feature set of ver. 1.5. I agree with Lauralux, it’s so good to have a developer who not only listens but acts.

Considering the cost of OSM, free it is a great choice and whilst it is sparse in some places, there is an awesome amount of data. I have about 3.4gb of data saved for offline use. This includes all of Great Britain, France, Swissland, Austria, Australia, NZ and about half of USA as well as Western proviences of Canada

I to used to use MotionX but PocketEarth runs rings around it, especially ease of use and speed.
